Laura Manenti
Laura Manenti is a Lecturer at the University of Sydney. Her research focuses on rare event searches and experiments aimed at detecting dark matter particles. Laura obtained her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the Università degli Studi di Milano and her Ph.D. from University College London (UCL).
Laura's expertise lies in designing and constructing detectors capable of observing invisible particles, even those that are yet to be discovered. As a postdoctoral researcher at UCL, she worked on two experiments at CERN that employed massive liquid argon detectors. In 2018, she relocated to New York University Abu Dhabi, where she initiated her work on dark matter experiments utilizing quantum sensors.
