Centre physicists meet Wagga Wagga students
Kooringal High School students learnt about physics from scientists involved in world-leading dark matter projects today.
Three physicists and the Centre’s Education and Outreach Manager Jackie Bondell visited the school as part of the Partner Schools Program.
The program has expanded from regional Victorian schools to three schools in New South Wales.
It aims to expose students to provide new opportunities for regional and rural students to meet scientists and learn about cutting edge research happening in Australia.
It is hoped that these opportunities will inspire students to consider careers in science and help create a more diverse scienitic community.
Scientists will visit Wagga Wagga High School tomorrow before heading to West Wyalong High School on Thursday.
