Nicole Bell and Celine Boehm named among Australia's leading scientists

Centre Chief Investigators Nicole Bell (UoM) and Celine Boehm (UoS) were named among Australia’s 50 women at the cutting edge of science in Australia.

The list was published in Cosmos Magazine to celebrate International Day of Women and Girls in Science and featured women representing a wide range of scientific disciplines.

Professor Bell leads the Theory research theme at the Dark Matter Centre, while Professor Boehm leads the University of Sydney node.

In the article, Professor Bell was described as a theoretical physicist and new President of the Australian Institute of Physics, who works on dark matter, neutrinos, and other areas of particle and astroparticle physics at the University of Melbourne.

Professor Boehm was described as an astroparticle physicist who was the first to quantify the impact of dark matter interactions with the Standard Model particles on the cosmic microwave background and large-scale-structure formation.
