Pilot schools program aims to inspire future physicists

Physicists and outreach staff have been working with regional Victorian secondary school students to provide insight into the variety and excitement of careers in science.

In particular, the Centre has been working with Stawell Secondary College, which is uniquely located on the doorstep of the Stawell Underground Physics Laboratory.

As part of the pilot program, Centre Outreach Coordinator Jackie Bondell last week visited our newest partner school in the program, Monivae College in Hamilton.

It was the first visit to the school by the Centre, and included introductory activities with Year 10 and Year 11/12 PHysics students.
