Non-Centre opportunity: Lecturer in nuclear physics at UNSW
Role: Lecturer in Nuclear Physics
Salary: Level B, $112 697 - $132 832 plus 17% Superannuation
Employment type: Full time, 35hrs
Term: Fixed term, 5 years*
Location: Canberra, ACT
*Please note: the term will be for an initial 5 year period with the possibility of extension.
As a Lecturer, you will showcase your knowledge and experience in nuclear physics in the development and delivery of introductory courses into nuclear science and nuclear physics applications as they are relevant within a military context. You will be involved in advancing the School of Science at UNSW Canberra’s international profile by conducting recognised scholarly research, contributing to the supervision of research students and teaching into a range of other undergraduate and postgraduate courses offered by the School of Science.
This is a great opportunity to join the School of Science at a time of growth for UNSW Canberra, with the unique opportunity to educate the training officers of the Australian Defence Force Academy.

About the Successful Applicants
To be successful in this role you will:
Hold a PhD in Nuclear Physics or Applied Nuclear Physics.
Have an emerging record of excellence in research and publication.
Have the ability to teach and support both introductory and specialist courses at undergraduate and postgraduate level.

The successful candidate will be required to work from the UNSW Canberra campus. To be successful you will hold Australian Working Rights or Australian Citizenship. UNSW is unable to offer visa sponsorship for this position.
