Centre Finance Manager – ARC Centre of Excellence for Dark Matter Particle Physics
UoM7 - $106,432 - $115,211 p.a. plus 17% super
A part-time (0.5FTE) fixed term position at Melbourne University Parkville Campus. Support the organisational needs of the ARC Centre of Excellence for Dark Matter Particle Physics.
As Centre Finance Manager of the ARC Centre of Excellence for Dark Matter Particle Physics you will provide a high-level accounting and budgeting service through the provision of accurate information on a range of finance issues and procedures to the Centre and Executive Committee. You will manage the budgets and consolidated reporting across the Centre including accurate budget forecasting for the life of the Centre.
Your responsibilities will include:
Manage budgets and consolidated reporting across the various university nodes of the Centre
Contribute to the annual and projected budgets of the Centre by initiating and developing reports for financial analysis and strategic planning
Manage all Centre accounts payable, receivable transactions and reporting and ensure they are in accordance with relevant protocols and legislation
Ensure the Centre's expenditure are monitored against annual budgets and accurate and detailed records are kept with issues and discrepancies investigated and resolved
You may be a great fit if:
You are an experienced finance professional with a strong analytical background, excellent communication skills and attention to detail. You have demonstrated experience in formulating budgets, financial reports, data manipulation, financial analysis, and strategy development with large computerised accounting systems.
You may also:
Have proven experience working in an academic environment, preferably with an ARC Centre of Excellence or equivalent
Be experienced with Workday and research applications
Be familiar with the Australian Research Council funding programs and processes
