Albert Kong

Albert Kong is interested in performance-oriented software development and optimisation. He is currently working with the ATLAS Collaboration at the Large Hadron Collider to improve their jet reconstruction software, which is essential to most physics analyses performed on their data as jets are extremely prevalent in the hadron collider environment. His recent research has been in using neural networks to improve both the accuracy and computational performance of pion energy calibration in the ATLAS calorimeter, which is vital to measuring jet energy in the detector.
