Centre members participate in Canberra summer school
About 60 undergraduate and graduate students attended the Canberra International Physics Summer School in January 2023.
The event was held at the Australian National University and its themes was ‘Fields and Particles’.
Centre Chief Investigator Cedric Simenel chaired the event, and other Centre members involved included Chief Investigator Anthony Williams (Foundations of Quantum Field Theory), Giorgio Busoni (Standard Model) and Chief Investigator Nicole Bell (Dark Matter).
The summer school provided Australian and international students with the opportunity to learn about cutting edge research in physical sciences.
It has been running at ANU since 1988 and past events have included a broad range of topics including mathematical physics, plasma physics, quantum optics, topological matter and many others.
The Centre and ANU School of Physics sponsored the summer school.
Videos of dark matter lectures by Professor Bell are available below:
More information on the event is available on the summer school website.
